50th Anniversary of 1968 Film Means All-New Mustang Bullitt

Mustang fans rejoiced everywhere when they saw the 1968 film “Bullitt,” as it features a famous and thrilling San Francisco car chase scene with America’s favorite sports car. The effortlessly cool Steve McQueen drives the Ford Mustang GT in the film, and we at Jimmy Michel Motors are excited to hear that Ford will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film with an all-new 2019 Mustang Bullitt.

The 2019 Mustang Bullitt is cool and collected but formidably powerful. It was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit last month. The Mustang Bullitt features a 5.0-liter V8 engine that achieves a whopping 475 horsepower, 420 lb-ft of torque, and can hit 163 mph. It also comes with a standard white cue ball shift knob in honor of the original, Black NitroPlate™ exhaust tips, a heated leather steering wheel, and a 12-inch all-digital instrument cluster.

In another nod to the movie, the Mustang Bullitt comes in Dark Highland Green with chrome accents on the grille and windows. If you’d like something different, you can choose the Shadow Black exterior color.  The interior features cool leather trims and green accent stitching, along with advanced entertainment and safety technologies. We can’t think of a better way for Ford to pay tribute to the film and advance the Mustang brand than with the all-new 2019 Mustang Bullitt, which is both classic and distinctly modern.
