The New 2019 Ford Ranger Design Is Being Put to the Test

The 2019 Ford Ranger is being put to the test. This model is currently in the testing stage, which means Ford engineers are taking it on rough outback trails in Australia and in the sweltering Arizona desert. Pushed to survive some of the harshest environments in North America and Australia, the new 2019 Ranger design is proving just how durable it truly is.

The 2019 Ranger features several new systems, such as a Terrain Management System, Trail Control, and blind spot monitoring with trailer support. The Ranger is held to the same standards as the proven Ford F-150 when it comes to durability, making it the perfect outdoor warrior to accompany your next arduous adventure.

“We torture every component—from its high-strength steel frame to its EcoBoost® engine to its cloth and leather-trimmed seats—to ensure Ranger is ready for any season and nearly any terrain,” said Rick Bolt, Ford Ranger chief engineer.

The Ranger is also being tested at Ford’s Michigan Proving Grounds, a testing area so intense that real drivers are replaced with robotic drivers. The Ranger will be tested for overall durability, capability, handling, and safety before it hits the U.S. market in early 2019.
